We wanted to hang out with our family and friends in Colorado, so we decided to get married there! Come hike, fish, climb, raft, ride a horse - whatever you want to do in the mountains. And, while you're there, watch us get married!
Accommodations
3 Rivers Resort
We recommend staying at 3 Rivers Resort if possible, as that is where we'll be. We highly suggest you book ASAP as cabins tend to fill up quickly. Get to it!
Almont Resort

It's a few miles up the river from 3 Rivers.
Crested Butte
A gorgeous ski town that should be very open during the summer.

Attire
Festive! What in the world does "festive" mean? Here's some info.
Do keep in mind that Crested Butte in August is not a billion degrees like most of us are used to. The average high is 72 and average low 44. Since it's an evening wedding, it will be getting chilly! The ceremony will take place outside.
Transportation
There are 25 parking spots outside of the venue. So, if you choose not to take the bus, you might consider carpooling. The bus schedule can be found here. It will take you from Three Rivers or Almont Resort right up to Mount Crested Butte and back again.
Reception
Location
Again, it's across from the Three Rivers Resort so no need to arrange a driver if you're staying there!
When
Immediately following the ceremony and goes until we drop.
Grub
Steak chimichurri, mashed taters, and stir fried veggies.
It's an open tab so pack an extra liver!
Getting There
Fly to Gunnison
You can fly to the Gunnison airport and rent a car. Driving from Gunnison to Almont takes about 15 minutes, and another 20 to Crested Butte.
Fly to Denver
The birthplace of Tim Allen! There's a big airport, but it's about a 4 hour drive to Almont.
Road Trip
From Houston you're looking at a 16 hour drive. Make it a two-day trip and stay in Lubbock for a night!
From Wichita Falls it's about 11 hours. Stop in Raton, NM and pick up some western wear!
For those weirdos coming from Wichita, KS or El Paso it's about 10 hours. Stop in Pueblo, CO and check out the historic Colorado Mental Health Instisute!
